FARM TOURS

Come pay us a visit! Experience farm life and meet our animals up close!

Badger Canyon Farm is a small, family-owned farm that raises huacaya alpacas, chickens, and honey bees in Kennewick, Washington. Our 90-minute private farm tours provide an experience to get up close and personal with our animals and experience farm life. We try to cater our tours to our guests (size, age, and group interest). Since our primary focus is on our alpacas, we spend a lot of time visiting and talking about them. We make the tour as educational as possible since not many people are familiar with alpacas.

With your private tour at Badger Canyon Farm, you'll enjoy the serenity of our rural alpaca lifestyle, experience the magic of being with Alpacas, and leave with a joy that is yours to keep!

Adults and Children ages 3 & up: $15 each. Children under 3: Free.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Learn about Alpacas, chickens, honey bees, and more.
  • Take pictures and get up close and personal with the Alpacas.
      • If everyone is behaving (both human and animal), there is a possibility of being able to touch an alpaca. We are not a petting zoo, as alpacas typically do not like to be touched, but we do have several PR animals willing to be handled.
  • Feed the Alpacas some of their favorite treats.
  • Touch and look at some fleece that has already been shorn and some of the things we make from the fleece.
  • Visit the chickens and see if they have laid any of their blue, green, and brown eggs.
  • See the honey bees and taste a sample of their honey.

GETTING HERE

  • Most GPS maps will get you close to the farm, but many take you past our property and up our neighbor’s drive. Not to worry, just take the short dirt drive past the fence line and you will find yourself right in front of our house.
  • If you find yourself running late (or early!), please call so we can do our best to accommodate you. If you are late, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment in order to respect the next group or other farm responsibilities.

WHAT TO BE PREPARED FOR

We are concerned about your safety and well-being, as well as that of our animals. For your best experience:

  • This is a full-time working farm and visitors are expected to understand that there may be hazards not normally encountered.
  • We recommend that visitors wear CLOSED-TOE SHOES (no high heels) and other clothing appropriate for the weather and outdoor activity.
  • Young children must be kept under close supervision at all times. It is important for them to behave calmly and quietly—use "inside voices." Visitors who are unable to comply may be turned away.
  • While visitors will get up close and personal with the alpacas, we are not a petting zoo. Therefore, guests are not permitted to get into the alpaca enclosures without the consent of the farm owner and appropriate supervision. Please stay with the group.
  • Take lots of photos during your time on the farm (don’t forget to tag us on social media).
  • Have fun!

CANCELATION POLICY

Due to limited tour availability and our ability to fill late openings, you may request (confirmation from us required) to cancel for a full refund or reschedule up to 72 hours before the date/time of appointment. After that time there will be no refund. This includes late/no shows.
